This publication is devoted entirely to the Exchange, as it has been recreated by Daniel Castor. There is a drawing which 'unfolds' the facade of the Exchange into an extended flat plane. Other drawings make visible the space, which is the architect's invisible weapon. There is a drawing with simultaneous different perspectives, which allows the spectator to look both inward and outward. Daniel Castor both records and speculates about what Berlage's intentions could have been. His drawings, accompanied by his own witty commentaries, help to raise once again as a subject for discussion the Exchange as a design; it has been a long time since this 'retired' highlight of architectural history has had such an experience.
